J.B. Forbes, 58, has been a staff photographer with the St. Louis Post-Dispatch since September 1975, and was named chief photographer in 2007. A 1972 graduate of the University of Kansas, he worked in Kansas at the Parsons Sun and in Florida at The Miami News before joining the Post-Dispatch. Forbes has traveled extensively with the Post-Dispatch during his career. He's covered war in Central America, earthquakes in Mexico and California, revolution in Haiti, economic issues in South America and hurricanes Katrina and Rita. He has made several trips to the Balkans with the American military and a trip to Iraq in 2004. Altogether he has worked in a total of 26 countries. Forbes lives in south St. Louis County on seven acres with his wife, Debbie. He has four children and three grandchildren. He and his wife run a horse boarding operation from their home, boarding several horses.

Robert Cohen joined the staff of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch in 1999. A journalism graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Cohen worked a decade at The Commercial Appeal in Memphis, Tennessee and a year at the defunct Sun-Tattler in Hollywood, Florida, now home to a Holiday Inn. He lives in suburban St. Louis with his grade-school sweetheart Kim, daughter Natalie and son Sam.
His work has been recognized eight times as Regional Photographer of the Year by the National Press Photographer's Association and is a member of the Scripps-Howard Editorial Hall of Fame. He is a grand prize winner of the National Headliner Awards, a best portfolio recipient at the Atlanta Seminar on Photojournalism and a multiple-winner in Pictures of the Year International.

He has spent the last ten years working as a staff photographer for the Florida Times-Union, The News & Observer in Raleigh, NC, and the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. White is from Atlanta and studied photojournalism, film and business at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
His work has been honored by the Atlanta Photojournalism Seminar, the Southern Short Course in News Photography, and the North Carolina Press Photographers Association. White was also named a Racial Justice Fellow by the University of Southern California's Annenberg Institute for Justice and Journalism.

Erik Lunsford joined the staff of the Post-Dispatch in 2007 after working in Florida as a staff photojournalist at the Palm Beach Post in West Palm Beach and the Stuart News in Stuart. A native of Missouri and a graduate of Chaminade College Prep and St. Louis University, Erik had his start in photojournalism as an intern at the Post-Dispatch in 2000, followed by internships at the State Journal-Register in Springfield, Ill., and the Peoria Journal Star in Peoria, Ill. Erik values the work of photographers Sam Abell, Joachim Ladefoged, Vincent Laforet, Christopher Morris and Alex Webb. He lives in Oakville with his wife, Karla, and enjoys traveling, gardening, and photographing anything in front of him. His faith is the foundation of his inspiration.

Dawn Majors is a native of Old Hickory, Tenn., a suburb of Nashville that lies 20 minutes north of the city. She graduated from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green with majors in both photojournalism and anthropology. When people ask why she choose to study both she says "I figured with both skills I could always take pictures of people, or their bones."
