These are photos taken by J.B. Forbes during the 2010 calendar year. Forbes, 61, has been a staff photographer with the St. Louis Post-Dispatch since September 1975, and was named chief photographer in 2007. A 1972 graduate of the University of Kansas, he worked in Kansas at the Topeka Capital Journal, the Parsons Sun and in Florida at The Miami News before joining the Post-Dispatch. Forbes lives in south St. Louis County with his wife, Debbie. He has four children and six grandchildren.

Chris Lee graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in mechanical engineering, but taking pictures for a living seemed like a whole lot more fun. He primarily shoots sports as a staff photographer at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. He lucked into a golden decade for St. Louis area sports, with local teams participating in the World Series, Super Bowl, Final Four and other championship events. No Stanley Cup yet, but could this be the year?

Robert Cohen joined the photography staff of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch in 1999 after working ten years at The Commercial Appeal in Memphis. Most recently his work on suburban homelessness was named a finalist for the 2010 Pulitzer Prize in feature photography. His photojournalism has also been recognized by Pictures of the Year International, the National Headliner Awards, American Society of News Editors and the National Press Photographers Association. Cohen lives in suburban St. Louis with his wife and two children, who are growing up too quickly.

Johnny Andrews joined the St. Louis Post-Dispatch in December of 2007. He has spent the last twelve years working as a staff photographer for the Florida Times-Union, The News & Observer in Raleigh, NC, and the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. Andrews is from Atlanta and studied photojournalism, film and business at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
His work has been honored by the Atlanta Photojournalism Seminar, the Southern Short Course in News Photography, and the North Carolina Press Photographers Association. Andrews was also named a Racial Justice Fellow by the University of Southern California's Annenberg Institute for Justice and Journalism.

Erik Lunsford joined the staff of the Post-Dispatch in 2007 after working in Florida as a staff photojournalist at the Palm Beach Post in West Palm Beach and the Stuart News in Stuart. A native of Missouri and a graduate of Chaminade College Prep and St. Louis University, Erik had his start in photojournalism as an intern at the Post-Dispatch in 2000, followed by internships at the State Journal-Register in Springfield, Ill., and the Peoria Journal Star in Peoria, Ill. Erik values the work of photographers Sam Abell, Joachim Ladefoged, Vincent Laforet, Christopher Morris and Alex Webb. He lives in Oakville with his wife, Karla, and enjoys traveling, gardening, and photographing anything in front of him. His faith is the foundation of his inspiration.

Dawn Majors is a native of Old Hickory, Tenn., a suburb of Nashville that lies 20 minutes north of the city. She graduated from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green with majors in both photojournalism and anthropology. When people ask why she choose to study both she says "I figured with both skills I could always take pictures of people, or their bones."
