Edwardsville softball defeats O'Fallon 9-8 in nine innings

In a Class 4A sectional semifinal game, Edwardsville defeated O'Fallon in a back and forth affair that saw O'Fallon take an early 5-1 lead but Edwardsville came back to take a one-run lead into the bottom of the seventh. O'Fallon tied the score to send it to extra innings. In the eighth, Edwardsville's Kendall Navin hit a two-run home run but O'Fallon tied the game again with a two-run double in the bottom of the eighth. Edwardsville scored one last time in the ninth and starting pitcher Kallen Loveless was able to hold on for the win.
