Caption: A quarter century after the virus first hit the national psyche, some individuals with HIV or AIDS say their acquaintances and loved ones are still afraid to touch them, for fear of contracting the disease. Sherry Huell contracted HIV in 1987. She is a recovering alcoholic and cocaine addict. Massage therapist Ben Ray has treated Huell for the last two years through Medicaid's Project Aids care waiver. Ray became a licensed massage therapist in 1997.
