18 NOVEMBER 2009 - St. Louis County police chief Tim Fitch hangs Medals of Valor around the necks of officers Jacob Maechling, at left, and Daniel Brinkman during the 40th annual Medal of Valor Awards held Wednesday at the downtown Hilton.  The award is the highest award given by the community to a law enforcement officer. Twenty-one officers received the award that recognizes conspicuous acts of bravery.
