Dr. Isaac Kelley at the midtown home of John T. Rogers in the early morning of April 28, 1931, shortly after hoodlums released Kelley to the reporter. The Post-Dispatch scoop ran under the headline, "Dr. Kelley Released to Post-Dispatch Man," the newspaper's scoop ran almost four full pages. Reporters of competing newspapers weren't able to interview Kelley until after noon that day. (Post-Dispatch)
