A crowd estimated at 2000 people gathered at Kiener Plaza Saturday to hold a protest/vigil against the recently-passed Arizona immigration law that requires police to check the immigration status of any person they reasonably suspect are in the United States illegally. The gathering was sponsored by the United Methodist Women and drew members from around the nation. Many opposed to the law say that amounts to racial profiling.
