Veterinarian Mark Wright examines a Labradoodle that was rescued from a breeding facility near Verona, Mo. on Monday, April 16, 2012. Working in cooperation with the Missouri Department of Agriculture, the Humane Society of Missouri Animal Cruelty Task Force rescuted 16 adults and 2 puppies. The dogs owner was unable to meet the requirements of the Canine Cruelty Prevention Act for kennel space, flooring and unfettered access to the outside. Also pictured is Pam Whitcraft, manager of the humane society of Missouri.
