Band director Brian Wyss leads the 8th grade band at Truman Middle School in The Great Locomotive Chase on Friday, May 11, 2012. Wyss teaches band at both Truman and Sperreng. Last year Sperreng Middle School was the largest middle school in the state with 1300 students. This year the school split in half with about 650 kids staying at Sperreng and the other 650 kids going to Truman Middle School, which was formerly an elementary school.
