Charlie A. Dooley on Tuesday won a third election as county executive, fighting off a spirited challenge from Republican Bill Corrigan. Dooley's victory extends the Democratic Party's control of the county executive's office, which it has held since 1990, when George R. "Buzz" Westfall first won office.
