October 28, 2010- Mike Fitts, of Arnold, left, and his granddaughter Michelle Shaffer, 3, of Afton, right, dressed as Minnie Mouse, ride the St. Louis Carousel at Faust Park Thursday. July 27, 2010- Messages written on a chalkboard by former students are one of the few reminders left from Epiphany Catholic School in St. Louis which closed it's doors at the end of the past school year.  The building which housed Epiphany and is still owned by the St. Louis Archdiocese, is being rented to the charter school Gateway Science Academy and will open as non-religious school this fall.

October 5, 2010- Yields are down all over the country.  You can't blame it on varieties.  It's just weather. Says Kenneth Hartman, Jr., owner of Glendell H. Farms in Waterloo, IL. Hartman planted 12 different varieties of corn on his farm this season, including DeKalb, a Monsanto brand, but did not spend the extra money for SmartStax this year, but says once the variety is proven to work he'd be willing to.  Glendell H. Farms, farm worker Henry Wickline, 22, loads harvested corn from a combine into a waiting truck Tuesday in Waterloo, IL.
