Nov. 26, 2010--(left to right) Marilyn Hammond and granddaughter Emily Selhime, 24, both of Roxanna sit in the parking lot at 4:30 a.m. trying to snag a deal at Cabela's Outfitter in the St. Louis Mills Mall. Quidditch is portrayed in the Harry Potter movies as a wizarding sport played on broomsticks. The live match was held on the South 40 area of the Washington University campus. August, 06 2010-- Kyle Johns, 19, prays during the candlelight vigil for Daniel Schatz Friday night. Friends and family of Schatz, 19, fill the football stadium at Sullivan High School Friday to honor his life and passing. Schatz was killed during Thursday's school bus accident on I-44. July 03, 2010--It happened when I was so young it's hard to know what it would have been like to have full vision, said Kallie  Hartigan, 22, of St. Joseph, Mo. Hartigan had cataract surgery when she was 6-months-old. Her doctor David Braverman made what she calls a prolonged misdiagnosis after she had problems post surgery. Scar tissue from the surgery has left her legally blind in her right eye and with low vision in the left.  Dawn Majors dmajors@post-dispatch.com

Oct. 16, 2010--Luigi, an Italian greyhound, gets ready for the fun at the 1st Annual Mastodon Art/Science Fair in Festus on Saturday. Mastodon Fair is the largest combined art and science fair in the nation and was host to: a pet parade, a look-alike contest, best pet costume, best pet and owner costume, and much more.
