Although the attire has evolved from formal wear to ultra casual, the Muny audiences have remained loyal and enthusiastic.
1942: Katherine Salkey (left) of the American Women's Voluntary Services and Margaret Stinson (right) of The Muny chorus sell a war stamp corsage to a member of the audience, Catherine Bazdarich (center). The evening is a triumph, raising $35,000 for the war effort and $9600 for the Army and Navy Relief Funds.
