CORRECTION PUBLISHED - 8/21/2011 - Friday August 19, 2011--Artist Mark Feja works on making a fish from a coconut at his booth in Frontier Park in St. Charles before the start of the Festival of the Little Hills on Friday.  The festival, that features food, arts, crafts, and entertainment, begins on Friday and continues Saturday from 9:30am - 10:00pm and Sunday from 9:30am - 5:00pm.  This the 40th anniversary of the festival.  Feja finds the coconuts he uses for his art along beaches near his home in the Florida Keys.

CORRECTION PUBLISHED - 8/21/2011 - Tuesday August 16, 2011--Ron Hebel, publisher of the Community Times magazine in Dupo, grabs a few shots of the St. Louis skyline from the Farmers Airship Zeppelin during promotional rides for sponsors and the media on Tuesday.  The Zepplin, which is operating out of St. Louis Downtown Airport in Cahokia, will be flying around St.Louis until August 29 when it leaves for Kansas City. Rides on the Zepplin can be purchased for $299 by visiting airshipventures.com.  The Zepplin is 246-feet long, 15-feet longer than a standard Boeing 747 and 50-feet longer than the largest commercial blimps operating today. Dick Beers, 75, and his wife Carla sit in the Cardinals dugout Friday morning. As the grandkids would say, 'It's awesome,' Carla said of sitting in the dugout. Dick, an Army veteran, participates in the Veterans Cardinals Reminiscence League, a support group that involves talking about baseball and looking at memorabilia to trigger memories. They really do experience a happiness that is sometimes hard to find, Carla said of what the program has meant to her husband. It has brought out memories that they share, that part is the best.
The group is a collaboration of St. Louis University, the VA, the Alzheimer's Association, and the Cardinals.

He lights up and you see the man who raised me, Vince said of what this experience has been like for his dad. During the group meeting John talked about playing bottle cap baseball on picnics with his wife. She was a good pitcher, she threw it in hard he said. The group is a collaboration of St. Louis University, the VA, the Alzheimer's Association, and the Cardinals.  Also pictured is John's wife Mary Ann Kunderman and volunteer Kathy Leonard.
