Saturday August 27, 2011--Pilot Jim DeVries closes up his hanger that he rents at the St. Clair, Mo. Airport on Saturday.  The city of St. Clair is exploring the possibility of closing the airport and developing a strip mall on the 80 acre site.  DeVries feels the city let the airport fall into disrepair as part of an effort to make a case to close it.

St. Louis city firefighters put out a fire in a St. Louis County police car on eastbound I-70 east of Goodfellow Tuesday afternoon. The police car had been chasing a car hijacker that crashed into the median wall. The carjacker was then apprehended.
