SEPTEMBER 13 2011- After closing all of their local stores in recent years, the Disney store returns to the St. Louis Galleria. Brian Conn, an employee with It's Finally Cleaned Inc., mops the  Pixie Dust Trail inside the newly revamped interactive store. Wednesday August 31, 2011--Crews from Blevins Asphalt, in Mt. Vernon, Mo., prepare to lay down a layer of stone chips on top of a fresh coat of oil on Lockhard Road in Franklin County.  Franklin County is working to pave all it's gravel roads.  The crews are working on the Franklin County line with Gasconade County which is marked by regular gravel road surface.

According to Wheatley, it's more efficient to work when there is even a small amount of shade but thankfully the end of summer has brought cooler temperatures. St. Louis firefighters battle a one-alarm house fire in the 2000 block of E. Alice Tuesday morning. The occupied house was gutted by the fire that spread to an abandoned house next door. No one was home at the time of the fire. One fireman was treated for a burn on his arm. Firefighters had to fight the fire from the outside since their was a fear of the building collapsing.

JULY 20, 2011 - The old McDonnell Douglass cargo area, which was bought out by Boeing and is now owned by the airport, is visible in the distance as a Southwest Airlines airplane takes off from St. Louis Lambert International Airport Wednesday afternoon. A press conference attended by Democratic and Republican elected officials was held in the main terminal of St. Louis Lambert International Airport to announce a job creation plan with the long term goal being to persuade China to locate a cargo hub in the area.
