Julie Lally lets her son Cameron, 5, put a star on his rewards chart after he tries three pieces of a carrot. He used to eat anything you put in front of him, but after he caught the flu when he was 2 1/2 he started refusing his favorite foods, she said of her son who is an extremely picky eater.
