Wednesday June 2, 2010-- Miguel Clark, 9, from Lebanon, tosses a squid to Rosie the sea lion as trainer Angela Hamberg, center, runs the show at the St. Louis Zoo on Wednesday.  The St. Louis zoo announced a $120 million seven-year campaign aimed at updating and improving older exhibits and creating a better experience for visitors.  The sea lion exhibit will be one of the first projects to be improved with construction on a new habitat Sea Lion Sound to begin in the fall of 2010.

TUESDAY, MAY 1, 2007- Fairway Elementary School student Ben Taul, 7, right with shirt on his head, smiles during a presentation by sea lions Roby, Alex, and Bennie on Tuesday at the Saint Louis Zoo. The Fairway students were at the zoo to attend a media preview of the Sea Lion Arena's new facelift.  
The Sea Lion Show will open to the public on weekends in May beginning May 12 and every day this summer, beginning May 25.  Shows take place at 11a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.  Admission is $3.00.

Work continues on Sea Lion Sound, Tuesday, October 25, 2011, which is slated to open sometime in summer 2012 at the Saint Louis Zoo.  
The new 10,400-square-foot facility will include an 830-seat amphitheater, a year-round outdoor pool and an underwater glass tunnel for visitors so they can view the sea lions up close in their habitat.

Dr. Henish Bhansali sees patient  Alva Burton of Shobonier, Illinois, in The Discharge Clinic at Barnes Jewish Hospital Thursday October 2, 2011 in St. Louis Missouri. The goal of the visit was to clarify any questions Burton might have as to how to treat his  throat cancer, congestive heart failure and other maladies. Burton was released from the hospital the last week of September and had some questions regarding medication.
