Barbara Webster of the 4200 block of Athlone, traded in her Chevy Equinox and put down a cash down payment in February in what she thought was a loan agreement to buy a 2011 Kia Sorento. In May, after making a couple of payments, she was told her credit eventually was not accepted as originally conveyed and the Kia was repossessed. Of the monies she originally put down to buy the car, she has received none of it back.
