This is one of our last neighborhood phones. According to Nesselhauf many of the phones of been removed because alderman's often don't like the riff-raff business that a pay phone might bring into the neighborhood. It's like a cemetery for phones, said tech Joe Nesselhauf, revealing the broken phones filling his service van Thursday Dec. 01, 2011 in St. Louis , Mo. Nesselhauf keeps the old phones to make repairs to the phones that are still in service. Joe is the grandson of Jim Nesselhauf ,62, who is not sure which will come first, retirement or the demise of his pay phone business. Nesselhauf owns Joltran Communications Inc., one of two companies supporting pay phones in this area.
