Maria Knight, a stylist who rents out space in Strands Salon, uses Square on her iphone to checkout Charlene Garcia Friday Dec. 16, 2011.  Square, a small device that attaches to her mobile devices, accepts any credit card and charges a 2.75% fee for every transaction. It's easy enough and since it sends you an email receipt so you don't have to worry about losing it in your purse, Garcia said.
