The smokestacks, built in 1942, were part of the original Scullin Steel building that manufactured ammunition during the Korean and Vietnam War. According to the company, weathering and age have made the smokestacks unstable. This is a little tough for us to watch, said Patrick Quinn, chief operating officer.
