Lisek, a former sergeant in the Army, was wounded in a IED attack in Baghdad on September 11, 2004.  It makes me want to cry.  It shows me that America loves us back. said Lisek about the support he felt from the crowd.. Phillips' son in law was Army specialist David Schaefer, from Belleville, who was killed in an IED attack in Baghdad on May, 15, 2009. I was surprised to see this.  I didn't know they were going to have this here.  I'm very glad to see it. said Phillips who was also wearing Schaefer's jacket.  Laury is a member of the Missouri Air National Guard.
