Christopher and Jamie Chandler dressed as characters Prince Eric and Princess Ariel from Disney's The Little Mermaid for their wedding Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011, in Boulevard Park in Lake Saint Louis. Ariel was the first Princess who was like I like this guy and I am going to do what it takes to make my own dream come true. I liked her independence and curiosity, said Jamie. Jamie met her prince, Christopher, at a renaissance festival in Wentzville where they both volunteered. He proposed to her years later in front of Cinderella's castle at Disney World with a ring placed inside a glass slipper. They decided on a Little Mermaid theme for their wedding since Jamie had been wearing dying hair scarlet red. Photo by Laurie Skrivan, lskrivan@post-dispatch.com
