The St. Louis Airport Site (SLAPS) that used to have radioactive waste stored on the land, located on the north side of Lambert-St. Louis International Airport just off of James S. McDonnell Boulevard, as seen on Friday, Feb. 24, 2012. The SLAPS area abuts Coldwater Creek which runs north from the airport through north St. Louis County into the Missouri River.

A vacant home at 301 South Third St. in Elsberry, Mo., was burned Feb. 14, two doors down from the home of arson suspect Roy William Gunn.  Gunn admitted to setting fire to the home by taking a white plastic bag of shredded paper and placing it just inside the home's front door and lighting it with a lighter.
