The American Zinc building at Fourth and Walnut streets was built in 1967. The building is suspended from two structural steel beams and, like the Arch, clad in stainless steel. Jason Jumps of Ballwin reacts to finding out that the Mega Millions lottery jackpot increased to $540 million on Thursday, March 29, 2012, as he buys 10 tickets at the 7-Eleven at the corner of Southwest and McCausland Avenue in Maplewood. I'll keep buying all week, especially when it gets this big Jumps said. As of noon, the store had sold 125 tickets. Manager Julie Moorhem said they are bringing extra employees tomorrow as she expects lines 15-20 people deep.

St. Louis County Health vector control specialsts Drew Hane and Neal Patterson check samples of mosquito pupae Wednesday afternoon, March 28, 2012 at the St. Louis County Health headquarters in Olivette. Patterson had collected the sample from stagnant water in Jefferson Barracks park. The giant hanging paper mache mosquito was made by a summer worker about ten years ago.

St. Louis County vector control specialist Neal Patterson was surprised how many mosquito pupae he scooped up on the first try Wednesday afternoon, March 28, 2012, in stagnant water off Greenpark Road and Reavis Barracks Road. The area is near a section of Grant's Trail.  Behind him, vector control specialist Drew Hane scoops up more samples.
