August 8/3/2006-- In 2006 Boeing unveild the prototype of the EA-18G Growler at Lambert Field.  The EA-18G is an attack plane which is based on the F-18F Superhornet frame and engine. Less than five years later in April 2011, Boeing celebrated the delivery of the 500th F/A-18E/F Super Hornet & EA-18G Growler to the United States Navy . PHOTO BY KEVIN MANNING

The music  and poetry Goodman performed told the story of Sarajevo Hagaddah, a book that dates from about 1350.  The Cabaravdics lived 60 km south of Sarajevo during the war, and moved to St. Louis in 1997.

Mirza Bajric, 34, owner of South City Meat and Deli on Gravois, keeps an eye out for customers as he works in his corner store in the Bevo Mill neighborhood  Thursday April 5, 2012. Twenty years ago I left my country.  I left my home, said Bajric, who evacuated his hometown of Kotor-Varos in Bosnia with his mother and two siblings, leaving their father behind.  His father was reunited with the family two years later in Croatia, where they awaited an uncle to sponsor them to St. Louis.  There's nothing to celebrate, he said of the 20th anniversary of the beginning of the war.  It's really a day of mourning.
