Berkeley Middle School 7th graders Austen Portis (left) and Deajsha Young watch as a classmate's rocket launches as their two-week participation in the Challenger Learning Center Rocket Club comes to a close on Wednesday, April 18, 2012. The program, designed by Learning Center Educational Director Robert Powell and sponsored by Express Scripts, used math and science in six after-school classes to teach students to design and build the rockets.

Cookies with lottery numbers on them  and a drink in a lottery koozie were served outside Red Bud city hall after the mega millions winners were announced on Tuesday, April 17, 2012. Merle and Patricia Butler of Red Bud,  won $218 million. I sat behind them at church on Sunday and I had no idea. It's small town stuff, Christin said of the winners.

Steve and Shelley Blecha sit with their kids Clayton, 8, and Riley, 3, at their home in Imperial. Their middle son Nathan died in 2007 when he was three-months-old at a day care in Jefferson county. The Blechas have been fighting to get legislation in Missouri that would strengthen the regulations on day cares.

Witnesses said the driver was traveling at a high rate of speed before she lost control and left the roadway. The house is rented by Drew Sinasky, 26, who was in the backyard at the time with his dog, Katie.
