Dignity Harbor homeless encampment torn down

Machines from the city of St. Louis streets department tears down huts in a homeless encampment called Dignity Harbor, located north of the Arch, on Friday, May 4, 2012. The homeless who were living in the encampment, some for years, relocated to hotels or apartments that they were given help finding. In the next two weeks two other homeless encampments, Hopeville and Sparta, will also be torn down.
