Mortician Ronald Jones (right) is thanked by Shirley Savage (left) and Keysha Savage (center obscured) on Thursday, May 31, 2012, after he offered to give their deceased family member a memorial service with viewing at no charge. They were only able to pay for cremation. Jones often does pro bono work for people who cannot otherwise afford it. For me, it's not about making money, he says. If you take care of the people first, the money will come.

Ronald Jones, a mortician, pays careful attention to the smallest details. He often spends long nights making his deceased clients look better than they did alive, he says. His makeup area is strewn with tools and tricks to get the right effect. Jones often does pro bono work for people who cannot otherwise afford it. For me, it's not about making money, he says. If you take care of the people first, the money will come.

Lily's father, coach Clay Johnston, pitched to the first and second grade team. Parents reported that the field, which was freshly sodded two seasons ago, looked great when play began last month.
