People came to help us sandbag. People who didn't know us. Through them we see God's love in action, said Pastor Jeanne Webdell during Sunday's service at Clarksville United Methodist Church, the only church open downtown. After the service, members Linda Frank, left, and Orabelle Brown visit with each other. 2nd Lt. Trevor Wiegers of the 1138th Transportation Company of the Army National Guard based at Jefferson Barracks, gets a haircut from Mishel Hughes at her salon, Cuts Plus, in downtown Clarksville Sunday. Hughes closed her business two days last week but reopened Sunday, charging half price for the servicemen's cuts. This is the first military cuts I've done, said Hughes. By the time I get it right, you'll all be gone. When the flooding threat began in Clarksville, national guard members were working six hours on, four hours off, but gained two more hours this weekend.
