Students from The Saul Mirowitz Day School - Reform Jewish Academy tossed crackers into Deer Creek in Ladue as a part of the ceremonial Tashlich. Tashlich involves symbolically preparing for the new Jewish year by throwing bird seeds (or crackers) into a moving stream of water, thus casting off those things they wish they had done better or differently during the past year. Tashlich precedes Rosh Hashanah, which begins on September 18th.
