Work continues on Sea Lion Sound, Tuesday, October 25, 2011, which is slated to open sometime in summer 2012 at the Saint Louis Zoo. The new 10,400-square-foot facility will include an 830-seat amphitheater, a year-round outdoor pool and an underwater glass tunnel for visitors so they can view the sea lions up close in their habitat. Dr. Henish Bhansali sees patient Alva Burton of Shobonier, Illinois, in The Discharge Clinic at Barnes Jewish Hospital Thursday October 2, 2011 in St. Louis Missouri. The goal of the visit was to clarify any questions Burton might have as to how to treat his throat cancer, congestive heart failure and other maladies. Burton was released from the hospital the last week of September and had some questions regarding medication. Barnes-Jewish Hospital opened the Discharge Clinic four weeks ago since they have some of the worst readmission rates in the country.
