Residents of the city voted in November to dissolve the city and become part of unincorpeated St. Louis County. McCraw, 32, grew up in this house that he purchased from his parents. "I used to love St. George" said McCraw but he says he voted to dissolve the city because things had changed and that city had experienced too many political issues. "I won't miss it. I wish my kids could have grown up here when I did" said McCraw.Photo By David Carson, dcarson@post-dispatch.com

Florissant Rd. from its old home in Caboose Park in Ferguson to a new home down the street on a parking lot across from the UMB Bank Monday evening, November 28, 2011. The caboose, according to the Ferguson Historical Society, was built in 1921 at Louisville, Ky. It carried passengers for the L & N Railroad until the 1950s, when the company suspended its passenger service. The caboose, one of two cabooses moved over two days in Ferguson, was acquired in 1985 from the Heilitag family. Ruth Brown , Ferguson Historical Society member, said the caboose cars, one from the L&N Railroad and the other from the Great Northern Railroad built in 1941, are symbolic of the history Ferguson has with the railway. "Cabooses are a symbol of what is most loved of old trains." Brown said the city and the historical society have plans to reopen the cabooses once renovations to the exterior and interior are complete. The two cars were moved to make way for a new fire station under construction. Photo by Erik M. Lunsford elunsford@post-dispatch.com
